April 27, 2007, Newsletter Issue #62: The Digital Do-over

Tip of the Week

When it's digital vs. film, digital has one huge advantage – control. Say you're at your daughter's last soccer game of the season. You've snapped team photos, taken shots of her amazing saves in goal, and everything is perfect. You've snapped a roll of filmand now need only sit back and wait for the most amazing pictures to develop. Unfortunately, this doesn't occur.

Whether it was not enough light or no flash, something inevitably caused the pictures to not come out the way you expected it. With digital photography the element of surprise is removed from the photo taking equation. Digital cameras come with a screen so you can see your picture instantly. Plus, digital means you can delete (you can remove any picture that's unsatisfactory without using up any space). You only have to save the digital photos you want, saving yourself a lot of headache and film money.
