August 10, 2007, Newsletter Issue #76: Make Pics the Perfect Fit

Tip of the Week

Not all sites are created equal—which might create problems when uploading your digital photo gallery online. Digital pictures can be saved in a variety of file formats (jpg, pict, pdf, etc.). Why so many? Some files work better on a PC. While others work well on a Mac—sites are the same way.

If you upload pictures in the wrong format you won't be able to view them. So, before you do anything, check the digital photo format specs of the website. Also, you might want to invest in photo retouching software. Not only can these programs edit and color correct your pictures, but they can also convert your digital photos into various file formats.
